Our next TG8 face-to-face meeting on VO management will be held in Paris on July 2-3, 2008. It will be a one day and half meeting that will start at 2pm on Wednesday 2 and end at 5pm on Thursday 3. 

The meeting will be organized in three parts:

1- Technical presentations from participants,

2- TG8 white paper - report from action chairs,

3- Discussion on the organization of the future work in TG8.

Most of the time (one day) will be devoted to technical presentations. The idea is to organize this first part of the meeting as a kind of informal workshop presenting on-going work and results obtained in the framework of the EC-funded European projects you are involved in.  

In order to produce a detailed program for the technical session of the meeting,  I would like to ask you to send to tg8-chair(at)listes.irisa.fr proposals for presentation including

- name and affiliation of presenter:

- name of other contributors:

- European project name:

- Extended abstract (2-3 pages - 11pt)

- keywords (at most 5):

We are working on the idea to have a committee selecting best abstract/presentations to be extended as technical papers that would be published in a special issue of a journal. 

Alternatively, you are also welcome to send proposals for presentation of recently published work (2007-2008). In that case, a short abstract (10-20 lines) is sufficient instead of an extended abstract as these proposals (about already published material) will not be considered for publication in a journal.

Of course, it is not required to submit a presentation proposal to attend the TG8 meeting that is open to all participants from IST/FP6 ICT/FP7 projects from unit D3 involved in the collaboration gateway and interested in VO. Please forward this announcement to your partners in the European projects you participate in.
