XtreemOS becomes a silver member of OGF

The XtreemOS project joins Open Grid Forum as a silver-level organizational member.


The Open Grid Forum (OGF) is a community of users, developers, and vendors leading the global standardization effort for grid computing
The Open Grid Forum accelerates grid adoption to enable business value and scientific discovery by providing an open forum for grid innovation and developing open standards for grid software interoperability.

 Organizational members are critical contributors to the success of the OGF mission through funding and the active participation of employees and affiliates. Working together, the OGF organizational members develop standards, share information, prioritize requirements, and champion the application and adoption of grid worldwide.

Becoming an organizational member of OGF, the XtreemOS project expects the following benefits:

Over 40 organizational members from both research and industry support OGF with technical and financial involvement. These financial contributions comprise the vast majority of OGF's operating income and allow OGF to continue its leadership role in the advancement of grid technologies worldwide.
